The 4 Phantasm films are my all time fav's. Phantasm was the first horror movie I remember watching. Angus Scrimm is great in it!

I like the Universal Monsters ones the best - but if I had to narrow it down even more: I'd say The Wolfman franchise is my favorite out of all the others... Out of the "2nd wave" though, I'd go with the Friday the 13th franchise...

My favorite is probably Romero's series. Night of the Living Dead and Dawn of the Dead are 2 of my favorite movies

I went with Friday the 13th, there isn;t a Friday the 13th that I don't love. (yes even Jason X) Nightmare on Elm Street has parts 2 and 5 which aren't my favorites. TCM has the abortion that is "The Next Generation" and I can take or leave most Halloween's after part 2.

I wouldn't call them "fantastic" they're not bad, but not super.

Yeah, I've got to agree on the Halloween flicks - The ones I like are 1, 2 and H2O... And Jason X is a guilty pleasure of mine -

HG Lewis' "Blood Trilogy" The blood trilogy is 2000 Maniacs, Color Me Blood Red, and Blood Feast right? Or is the Gore Gore Girls or The Wizard of Gore in there somewhere? Either way Herschell Gordon Lewis is fantastic

No questions about it for me. TCM is by far my fav. I enjoy all of the franchises but TCM has a special place in my heart. I remember vividly when I was like 10 or so my Mom worked at a grocery store and of course we shopped there. One friday trip to Eagles I ended up digging through all the used VHS and I found and convinced my moms to buy me TCM. This was like 86" or 87". Typing that made me realize, the next time I see her, I need to thank my mom for being such a cool parent.
HG Lewis is a genuinely nice man. When i met him he seemed very thrilled to have his fans appreciate him. Not trying to brag about meeting him but wanted to confirm what you heard.

That's awesome. I have a somewhat similar story. My grandma bought me 3 vhs horror movies at a garage sale when I was really young(5 I think). The 3 were the first Texas Chainsaw Massacre, The Pit, and The House of Seven Corpses. I used to watch those videos all the time when I was little(i'm 18 now). TCM is definately a classic, and while the others may not be classics they'll always have a special place in my heart. Man, my grandma is cool.
